Does God Care About Me?
At times it seems as though we live in such an impersonal world. People
rush to and fro as they pursue their own interests. Each of us at one time
or another has been given reason to ask the question; " Does anyone
really care about me as a person ? " In many places in this world there
seems to be a lack of concern for people at almost every level of society.

You and I , as individual people,  just do not seem to matter much. Some
have even gone so far as to question whether or not  God cares about
individual people at all. The question is a fair one. What reason would the
God of the entire , vast universe have for caring what happens to you or I
anyway? Among the billions of people who inhabit planet earth why should
God take notice any one of us? Some religions teach that the god they
worship does not take such notice. Their god is too important to be
bothered with the personal trivialities which concern us. Yet the question of
whether or not man has individual significance to God is not new and has
not gone unanswered by God. Many years ago the writer of the book of
Psalms , which is found in the Bible,  posed the same question.

There it is written;
"When I consider the heavens, the work of thy
fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained, what is
man that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man that thou
visits him ? For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels,
and hast crowned him with glory and honor. Thou madest him to
have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things
under his feet." ( Psalms 8 : 3- 6)
Here is found both the question and
the answer! Clearly there is no merit  found here that you and I possess
which demands that we be considered important to God. Yet the Psalmist is
quick to point out that God has placed all things in nature under the
command of mankind! The writer goes on to say that
God  has crowned
man with glory and honor.
The final say in this matter does not belong to
us. It is God who makes the decision regarding our value and he is not
silent concerning this matter. Here it is evident that he places great value
upon mankind. Yet what of you and I as people ? Does his valuation extend
down to us as individuals? Is God truly a personal God ? If you were to
read the entire Bible from the first words of Genesis to the final words of
The Revelation Unto John you would discover that  over and over God
concerns himself with the personal things of the lives of individual people.

Abraham was called the friend of God by the writer of the book of James. In
that writing we read;
"And the scripture was fulfilled which saith ,
Abraham believed God , and it was imputed unto him for
righteousness and he was called the friend of God." (James 2: 23 )

To be called a friend is a very personal thing. It was, in this case,  God who
allowed such a relationship based upon Abraham's acceptance of him and
not the other way around! As you continue to look through the Bible you
will see that the God who reveals himself there is not just mildly interested
in you. He is passionately concerned with both your current and eternal
well being! He stands ready to undertake your welfare to the point that he
is ready to adopt you as his own child. God has been making that offer for
a long time to any who would but accept it. It is written;
" But as many as
received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God
even to them that believe on his name which were born not of
blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of man, but of God."
( John 1: 12-13 )
God will welcome you into his family if you choose to
come. He loves you that much. In fact his love for you is so great that Jesus
 gave his life in order to make it possible for you to come unto God.

It is written ;
" For God so loved the world , that he gave his only
begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish,
but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world
to condemn the world, but that the world through him might be
saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned, but he that
believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed
in the name of the only begotten Son of God. ( John 3: 16 -  18)

Does God Care about you? He says here that he cares about you so much
that Jesus died for you. The name of Jesus is the name which must be
believed upon in order to allow God to grant you eternal life. In the book of
Acts it is written ;
" Neither is there salvation in any other : for there
is none  other name under heaven given among men whereby ye
must be saved.( Acts 4 : 12).
When Jesus Christ died , was buried,  and
arose from the dead he did so as a substitute for you. No one else ever
has nor ever will do that for you. It is because he did so that God will
forgive your sin and allow you to become a member of his family for all
eternity. Where ever you are right now you can accept God's gracious
offer. To do so simply talk to God and admit to him that you are a sinner.

Tell him that you realize that Jesus died to pay for your sins. Then ask him
to forgive you and come into your life and take control from now on. In this
manner men and women through out all ages have come into a personal
relationship with this personal God who loves you. Won't you accept his
invitation now as well? Please tell us of your decision to join the family of
God by contacting us through one of the e- mail links on this site so that
we may pray with and for you in your new walk with  God.  May God Bless
you abundantly.
